This "W" issue.

We all have issues.

Mine would be Weight.

This round-baby picture…

reminds me that my body is not built to burn-fats by simply existing. I've seen a lot of my friends who eat just about anything (and everything) and not gain a friggin pound—-unfortunately, this is not my DNA.

And so, as a woman-of-action (uhuh uhuh), I have embarked on several diet attempts (fads and researched ones) to give me the body that I want. I tried that herbal shake diet, some diet pills and even that RAW diet (which I did successfully for 2 months). Most were effective and did make me lose pounds-however, it was just shortlived. One point in time I got tired drinking those shakes, I started hating those diet pills regardless of it being ‘herbal’ (I’m scared on its actual content) and the RAW diet was plain old boring (after 2 months).

Two months ago, I had coffee with a close friend and she shared with me the perks of eating fish. I do eat fish. I eat chicken and fish (I find cows and pigs too cute-so I stopped munching on them. Its been 9 years of warding off pigs and cows on my menu). Anyway, I was listening to my friend—then I thought why not, elevate this FISH ‘Diet’ by having it “steamed”.After so much googling on the obvious benefits of steaming your food.. I stumbled upon this one..
“Steamed fish has fewer calories and less fat than fish cooked in butter.   Consider, for example, a 3 oz. tilapia fillet, which contains 36 calories, 3 g of total fat and no saturated fat, according to Livestrong MyPlate. Cook it in 2 tbsp of butter — just barely enough to keep it from sticking to the pan — and the calories jump to 236, while the fat content jumps to 25 g of total fat, 14 g of which are saturated fat.”
And so, I tried this steamed diet for 2 weeks..and I am very happy with the results. I feel lighter and I feel healthier. This works for me.

To make sure that you get other nutrients-I included fruits on my menu. I blend pineapple and orange (without milk/sugar) for breakfast and drink half a liter of it (geez). And another half a liter of pure fruit shake before I sleep. Mangoes, Grapes, Avocados and Bananas are not on my FRUIT SHAKE list (yet) because of its high sugar content.

This diet has been working for me. It is feasible, not expensive and easy to prepare. So once I achieve a smaller tummy, I will tell you exactly how much weight I have lost.. and that’s a pinky promise!
